Fighter/cleric, worshipper of Boccob. Fascinated by anything magical - considers such things are a gift from his God. 

Obsessive and compulsive - keeps his pack ordered and frequently turns everything out and folds and repacks it, cleans and oils his weaponry and armour every night etc. Sees signs and portents from his God in everyday situations. 

His father caused his noble family's downfall, but Garazhan is trying to rebuild the family reputation. Garazhan is the third son of Rastarill Jomar, once a member of the King's council before he died. 
Rastarill was secretly a servant of Vecna, and a group of adventurers uncovered his evil doing and slayed him. Although the family knew nothing of his treachery, they have been ostracised and stripped of most of their possessions. Garazhan has two older brothers - Korodon is a member of the army whose hopes to be in the Royal Guard have all but come to an end; and Sirazhan is a civil administrator constantly getting overlooked for promotion. Grazhan's younger sister Therwill is a bit of a rebel, acting out against her mother's wishes.

On his first adventure Boccob granted Garazhan a magical warhammer. Although he could not use the weapon, he returned home and practised hard until he became proficient. In his first encounter with the weapon (he calls it 'Boccob's Might') he attacked an orc, only to have the hammer fly from his grasp! Worried that he had somehow earned Boccob's wrath, he retrieved the hammer and tried again - just in case his God was merely testing his perseverance. And lo, his next attack was a critical hit! Thus Garazhan has been assured that his path is righteous and that Boccob's favour shines upon him.
