The characters were hired by the Sages Guild of Greyhawk to map the Mouths of Madness, the caves set into the bluff that Castle Greyhawk stands upon.
The characters explored three of the caves:
- They befriended the kobolds of the first cave system (through a grumpy old kobold)
- They defeated the Ogre that lived in the second cave system.
- They fled from the goblins of the third cave system.
