It’s rare I pay a lot of money for books – perhaps I buy many books, but individually, I don’t pay that much for each one.
I’ve just made an exception, for this collection of short stories by Roger Zelazny.
After shipping, they’ll be close to aus$50 per book, but they’ll be worth it.
I’ll have to wait for volumes 5 & 6 to come out; impatiently, probably.
Roger Zelazny was one of the greatest science fiction and fantasy writers I’ve ever read. Other people thought so as well. He remains my favourite author. He’s great in the long form (the Amber chronicles and Lord of Light seeing him at the top of his game), but his shorter stories are possibly even better. “The Doors of His Face, The Lamps of His Mouth” is one I’ve read many, many times.
