Author websites

I’ve just been struggling with Jennifer Fallon’s website, trying to work out if she’s working on a new book. Urgh. Look, I realise that most authors have better things to do than spend a lot of time working on their website, but the website is hard work to find anything useful on.

Laurell K Hamilton also used to have a pretty good website; it’s still not bad, but her blog has been infected by the same disease that Jennifer Fallon’s has: clunky interface disease.
Here are the major two problems with the blog:
* It’s in a subwindow in the form, meaning you have to manually click on the scroll bar to go down.
* Too many images surrounding it
* When you want to read more than one entry, you have to click on the link; it’s not one long sequence of blog entries. (Thankfully, LKH’s blog doesn’t suffer from this. Eventually I worked out where the archive was of JF’s blog and it got more manageable).
However, I’m still trying to read these entries in this TINY LITTLE WINDOW. Please! I love your books – let me read your blogs!
