Just a quick update. In the past few weeks, my old AD&D/Basic D&D adventure collection has been expanded significantly (with a number of orders via ebay coming in), and it’s pretty close to being “complete” – as far as 1E goes, and Basic pre-85.
However, a couple of interesting boardgames also arrived in the post today: Martin Wallace’s “Discworld: Ankh-Morpork” and Rich Burlew’s “Order of the Stick” game (Dungeon of Dorukan, Deluxe Edition).
Both are relatively light games, although the OOTS game has a reputation for being overlong; mind you, the deluxe edition has the expansion in it, which apparently shortens the game. Heh. That’s unusual.
Apart from that, I’ve picked up 3 new BattleTech supplements, and we’ve started playing Lost City on Fridays, and Prince of Undeath on Sundays. Very happy about that.
And Martin ran a fantastic session of Savage Worlds to celebrate his wife’s birthday – Zombies on the Titanic. Lots of fun.
OOTS should be fun… it features elements from various board games/card games like Talisman (the good parts) and Munchkin.
