My roleplaying over the weekend – this was meant to be the big weekend, with three separate sessions – ended up being quite disrupted.
Martin is still ill, so we had to cancel the Friday evening session. Whatever illness he has is lingering; it’s now been 3 weeks. We’re concerned for you, Martin: get better soon!
Sunday evening’s session got cancelled because of Valentine’s day. (One of those celebrations that, alas, has never meant anything to me). It only really mattered to our GM for the Serenity session, so that was that.
So, that left Sunday afternoon, where we managed to actually find everyone there (although Greg missed the first encounter). We got through 3 encounters of P2 Demon Queen’s Enclave in about 6 hours. The combats didn’t take that long – less than three hours for the three of them – but we spent a lot of time (over two hours) not playing D&D, instead just chatting about other things in life (like what all the actors from Stargate Atlantis, especially Dave Hewlett, are doing at the moment).
We also convinced Josh to get a month’s subscription to D&D Insider, one of the best tools for a D&D 4E player. (Heck, Nathaniel considers it worthwhile, and he doesn’t use the Character Builder, on account of him being a Mac person). We probably need to give Greg a subscription as a present – life’s been tough for him since IBM decided they didn’t need him – the fools!
We’ve got another 2-3 sessions left of Demon Queen’s Enclave, I think; so 10-11 sessions for the entire thing, although some of sessions have been very short. Still, excellent value for the money, and we’ve been enjoying it greatly.
