Beware! Spoilers for Curse of Strahd and Death House within!
Last night, my group (the second group, for those who are counting) were exploring the basement of the Death House in the company of two ghostly children: Rose and Thorn. They’d befriended the children, and were being treated to a running commentary on events by Rose, whilst Thorn was possessing the body of one of the adventurers, played by Marcus. Thorn was scared of a lot of stuff. Or perhaps that was Marcus. It was hard to tell at times.
They came across a great stone slab which barred the way to a chamber beyond. Brian hit upon the bright idea of sending Rose through the slab to find out what was on the other side.
There was only one problem: Rose didn’t know she could walk through walls.
“Can we do that?” she asked.
“Ghosts can, yes. I’ll have to cast a spell on you,” said Brian. “But you have to close your eyes. Then walk forward into the slab.”
“Okay!” she agreed.
“Right, I’ve cast the spell. Now walk forward!”
“OW!!!!” exclaimed Marcus/Thorn, who had just walked into the slab.
