Well, I’ve now posted reports of the 7-8 hours of BattleTech we played on the weekend. It was hot, but we had a lot of fun.
First Mission: Supply Run – 4 Mechs of Sorenson’s Sabres vs 4 Davion Mechs.
Second Mission: Pursuit – 6 Mechs of the Fox’s Teeth vs 8 Kuritan Mechs.
The reports include pictures as well as commentary. 🙂
Thanks for Randy for hosting, and Josh and Rich for braving the weather and playing.
Let me know when you want to play the next one!
I keep telling my group we need to play Battletech, but I probably need to get the ball rolling. What are you using for your campaign rules? I figure I need to invest in some of the new stuff to get up to date, but not sure what to buy.
G’day, Scott!
I’m using Starterbook: Sword and Dragon for the campaign. If you have that, some maps and the rules, you’re good to go.
We started the campaign with the Starterbook and the Introductory Boxed Set (24 plastic minis, 2 double-sided maps, basic rules and record sheets) and that was enough for our purposes.
Except then I got Total Warfare and the two Map Compendiums…
Cheers!
I’ve had my eye on Total Warfare for a while. I’m looking over your after action reports now- good stuff. I think the starter book might be just the thing to get my group back into Battletech.
