BattleTech reports

Well, I’ve finally reported what happened in our last group of BattleTech missions.

For those who are interested:
The Fox’s Teeth
Mission #5: Supply Run
Mission #6: Recon-in-Force
Sorenson’s Sabres
Mission #5: Pursuit
Next up will be missions #6 and #7 for the Sabres, which will be run on Thursday evening and Saturday afternoon.
As a change from the revision of the rules in S&D, we’ll be using the following values for the sale prices of mechs from now on:

Light Mech: 65 WP
Medium Mech: 90 WP
Heavy Mech: 140 WP
Assault Mech: 190 WP

That’s 10 WP less than the “low” value, so you can’t just swap mechs about easily. Smiley

There’s a rule that a repaired mech loses all its ammo and more needs to be bought; I’m changing that so that it only applies to salvaged mechs. Your own mechs keep their ammo when repaired. (We’ve never actually used that rule, I started using it with our latest batch of missions for salvaged mechs only). Destroyed mechs do require repurchase of all ammo, however.

I’ve also produced a new sheet which summarizes these revised values; one of these days I’ll find a way of getting it to the players in the campaign easily!

Martin, I take it you can still join us on Saturday afternoon?

  1. Fun stuff. And reminds me that I need to catch up on my livejournal posts.

I’m looking forward to trying this out, just not sure when. We’ve got our second session of Demonqueen’s Enclave for this Saturday, and Twilight Imperium after that (should have 5 or 6 players this time, with expansion), and then one of the guys wants to start a new 4E game.

BTW- in one of the missions, I saw the enemy included a Shadowhawk. Did you guys just choose to include this, or are the Unseen mechs starting to show up in products again?

    1. The Unseen mechs are showing up again! 🙂 The new Tech Readout, 3039, which combines 3025 and 3026, has the stats for all the unseen Mechs… just not the pictures. They reimaged them for the newer eras (about 3067+), and they are pictured on as silhouettes of the reimages.

There’s also the Phoenix Upgrades record sheets, which includes all of the sheets for the unseen mechs and their later upgrades/revisions.
