D&D Adventurers League – Asia Pacific – News

I may no longer be the Regional Co-ordinator for the APAC region, but I still remain fascinated by what’s going on in the D&D Adventurers League in the Asia-Pacific. Two items caught my attention this week:

Save the Children of Mulmaster

Michael Balin recently organised a charity event where 165 players from eight stores in Australia played through the D&D Epic, Mulmaster Undone. Over $3,000 was raised for the Save the Children charity.

Participating stores for the event were:

  • Good Games Adelaide (SA)
  • Gateway to Games (SA)
  • Good Games Cannington (WA)
  • Good Games Rockingham (WA)
  • Fast Break Sports (QLD)
  • Gamezilla (NSW)
  • Exiles Gaming Club (NSW)
  • Good Games Newcastle West (NSW)

The event required lot of co-ordination, with events on individual tables affecting the entire event. The organisers at each store shared their tables’ results over the web, so everyone could know what was happening.

Michael’s notes on the result:

With the assistance of the mysterious Chronomancer, we travelled back in time to play the retired D&D Epic Mulmaster Undone. We couldn’t save the city, as that’s a fixed event, and indeed the Devastation Orbs went BOOM at a majority of our 25 tables. But wearing their Time Bracelets and armed with their Time Treats – and their plentiful $1 rerolls – our brave adventurers rescued approximately 400 of the 10,000 children who perished during the Devastation, while fighting the four cults of Elemental Evil.

All of this couldn’t have happened without the aid of Bill Benham, the D&D Adventurers League Content Manager, who in addition to providing the adventure, provided many items for auction and some unique items for Fai Chen’s Fantastical Faire!

Melbourne D&D Adventurers League tables

Andrew Callaghan has changed the day of D&D Adventurers League tables being played at Good Games Melbourne to Tuesday.

Starting at 6 pm, he and his band of DMs provide a range of adventures from the D&D Adventurers League catalogue.
